As a black-owned brand, we value black businesses and products and through this seeks to collaborate with like-minded black creative entrepreneurs, artist’s and artisans.
We are proud to have such products in our hotels and anything bought from local producers and sold in our spaces, we give back a percentage to the artisan therefore contributing to the growth of their country economically.
Our hotels are small spaces globally where people can interact with the culture of the location, the essence of the country while enjoying the comforts of modern amenities in a home environment.
Our global vision for Daze house is to create a bridge between the diaspora and Africa and the rest of the world highlighting contemporary art, artisans, food, and unique experiences. We are proud to work side-by-side with local artisans that will allow access to a new and exciting opportunity for our guests. Our mission is to change the miss perception of Africa sophistication and depth of culture. We do this by tackling the ever so antiquated traditional form of hotels. We want to break the mold and create a new safe space that can be used formed and transformed into a product/service that fits all on our journey.
The beginning
Our first property and extension of the brand is our founding house in Johannesburg, a boutique hotel consisting of 10 unique rooms each themed to the intangible characteristics of a country in Africa. Encapsulating a sensory experience through the home, each of our rooms feature modernity amenities, an individual characteristic scent, art and products from artists and artisans on the continent.
